Dear Ms. Thompson, I am writing to inquire about private swimming lessons for my 8-year-old daughter, Emma. We recently moved to the area, and I noticed your flyer at the Riverside Community Centre. Emma had some group lessons at our previous location but struggled to keep up with the class, which is why I'm particularly interested in one-on-one instruction. Emma can float and do basic paddling, but she's quite nervous in deeper water. She had an unfortunate experience last summer when she accidentally went into the deep end of a pool, and since then, she's been rather hesitant about swimming. However, she's expressed interest in learning properly, especially after watching the summer Olympics on TV. She's particularly fascinated by butterfly stroke, though I realize that's quite advanced for her current level. I understand from your flyer that you offer lessons on weekday evenings and weekend mornings. We would prefer weekend sessions, as Emma has after-school activities during the week. Additionally, I noticed you provide both 30-minute and 45-minute lesson options. Given Emma's current skill level and anxiety around water, which duration would you recommend? We're hoping to start as soon as possible, ideally before the weather gets too cold. I also wanted to ask about your pool facilities. Is there a shallow end where Emma can practice comfortably? And what is your policy regarding parents observing the lessons? I think Emma would feel more confident knowing I'm nearby, at least for the first few sessions. Also, do we need to provide any specific equipment, or is everything supplied by the facility? Regarding the payment structure, could you please clarify if the rates listed in your flyer are per lesson or for a block of lessons? We're looking to commit to regular sessions, so I'd be interested in knowing if you offer any discounts for booking multiple lessons in advance. Also, what is your cancellation policy in case of illness or emergency? I look forward to hearing back from you and hopefully arranging some lessons for Emma. She's excited about the possibility of improving her swimming skills in a more personalized setting. Best regards,Sarah Palmer
